Program Overview
In an era where technology evolves at lightning speed, "Artificial Intelligence: Smarter Learning Starts with Practical A.I." is designed to demystify the world of AI for the local community. This training is part of the AI Ready ASEAN regional initiative, a collaboration between the ASEAN Foundation and Google.org.
Locally facilitated by Bald Puppies Solutions Inc. and supported by the Sarong Bangui Eagles Club, this program aims to bridge the digital divide by providing students, educators, and parents with the foundational skills needed to navigate, use, and thrive in an AI-driven society. Instead of focusing solely on theory, this session emphasizes practicality—showing participants how AI can be a tool for productivity, creativity, and problem-solving in everyday life.
What You Will Learn
The curriculum is tailored to ensure that AI is accessible to everyone, regardless of technical background:
- AI Fundamentals: Understanding what AI is (and isn't) and how it "thinks" through algorithms and data.
- Practical Implementation: Hands-on experience with AI tools for content creation, information searching, and task automation (e.g., Hour of Code activities).
- Ethics & Security: Learning to use AI responsibly, identifying misinformation/deepfakes, and protecting personal data privacy.
- AI for Social Good: Exploring how AI can solve real-world community challenges.
Expected Outputs
By the end of this training, participants will have achieved the following:
- AI Literacy Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the ASEAN Foundation and partners, validating their foundational AI skills.
- Practical Toolset: Completion of hands-on exercises (such as the Hour of Code) and a personalized "AI toolkit" of apps and prompts for daily productivity.
